Toyota Field welcomes all 15 SEC teams to Toyota Field for the first time on May 11-15, bringing the tournament to a neutral site for the first time in more than 20 years. Two-time defending national champion Texas will look to defend its SEC title, which it claimed over Alabama.
In last year’s NCAA Division I Softball Championship, 13 of the 15 teams from the SEC earned a spot in the postseason tournament. Five SEC programs advanced to the Women’s College World Series, tying the Conference’s record for the most teams from a single conference to reach the final playoff. Texas secured its second NCAA Championship, becoming the fifth program in NCAA Softball history to win back-to-back national titles.
